The Digilant Outdoor Camera is the latest generation, weatherproof, ultra low power, digital surveillance camera that captures high resolution colour images when motion is detected within its field of view.  The images are stored on a removable memory card for easy viewing on a computer or PDA.  This camera is ideal for monitoring harsh, dusty outdoor environments such as mines, field depots, farms, forests, wildlife habitats, beaches etc.

The camera has no wires at all.  It’s small, lightweight, easy to install, easy to use and easy to move to a new location.

This camera can also be rigged to start taking images from a physical input such as a gate or door opening or alternatively can be programmed to capture images at set intervals.  It can store up to 65,000 images depending on the image resolution and memory card selected.

The camera itself is housed in a weatherproof case that is manufactured out of high quality polycarbonate for maximum UV resistance, and is IP65 rated.  The case is abrasion, chemical & solvent resistant and has a matt finish to reduce reflections and keep it inconspicuous.

The camera unit can be removed from the case and used as a Digilant Indoor Camera but for outdoor use must be enclosed in its External Weatherproof Case.

The outdoor camera is supplied with an internal rechargeable battery that will last up to 9 weeks.  Install an extra high capacity battery for up to 9 months rechargeable battery life, or connect an AC adaptor, 12 volt supply or solar panel for uninterrupted surveillance.
